Mary H. Sobotka, 90, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11. Born in Syracuse, she was employed with Dey Brothers and Bon-Ton for many years and previously Crouse Hinds.

In retirement, Mary enjoyed traveling and going to the beach, especially Myrtle Beach. She loved spending time at her camp on Lake Ontario, crocheting, knitting, baking, and reading. Her warmth and quick wit will be missed.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edward Sobotka Jr; her parents, Ralph and Martha Hart; and sister, Jean Fitzgibbons.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary Beth (Randy) Loveless of Baldwinsville and Patty (Ed) Norton of Baldwinsville; sister, Marlene Raab of TN; four grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna Tobin) Wright, Timothy (Molly) Wright, Allison (Ambrose Tarr) Wright, and Emily (Patrick) Krause; nine great-grandchildren, Sophie, Elliot, Benjamin, Owen, Finnley, William, Marygrace, Bailey, and Rylan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
