Mary Elizabeth Mead, 69, sadly passed away on January 25, 2017, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was surrounded by her family in a room full of love at the time of her passing. She was born and raised in the Syracuse area and worked at the VA Hospital for most of her career.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Glenn Mead; sons Christopher and Andrew Mead; daughter Elizabeth (Mead) Wilmot; step-children Mimi Mead and Melanie Mead-Davis; siblings Anne Peters and Robert Ward; and 5 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made in Mary's honor to the Harbor House of Rochester, 89 Rossiter Rd, Rochester, NY 14620.

She came like the wind, like the wind touched everything, and like the wind, was gone.
