Mary E. Lanty Kane, 79, of Seneca Street, Baldwinsville, died Monday. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from North High School. She moved to Baldwinsville in 1952. She retired in 1993 after 29 years as a cafeteria worker at the Baldwinsville school district. Her husband, James W., died in 1986.

Survivors: Three daughters, Barbara J. VanTassell and Patricia M. Robb, both of Baldwinsville, and Marcia A. DeGilio of Lakeland; two sisters, Rita Klasen and Jean Diamond, both of Syracuse; a brother, Thomas Lanty of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Falardeau Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
