Mary E. Barber, 61 of Route 370, Cato, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at Community General Hospital after a long battle with Lupus. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of SmithTech where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed as a visiting nurse for Hospice of the Finger Lakes in Auburn for three years. She is predeceased by her sister Florence DeCook who passed away in 1991.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Robert T. Barber, Sr. of Cato, NY; one daughter, Lisa Boudebaba of Auburn, NY; two sons, Robert T. Barber, Jr. of Townsend, GA and Bryan C. Barber of Cato, NY; two brothers, Frank Nizer of Albany, NY and John Nizer of Baldwinsville, NY; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 5:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Spring burial will take place at Belle Isle Cemetery in the Town of Camillus. Calling hours are 2 - 5 pm Sunday, February 2, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
