Martin R. Race, 80, of Hannibal, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at his home. He was born in Syracuse, lived many years in the Baldwinsville area before moving to Hannibal 36 years ago. He was a veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion and worked as a Roofing & Siding Contractor in Syracuse for several years.

Survivors: his wife of 60 years, the former Helen F. Webber; two daughters, Helen (James) Colby of Oswego and Doreen (Mark) Clark of Fulton; two sons, Martin (Louise) Race of Fulton, and Donald (Sherry) Race of Wolcott; a sister, Marylou Nolan of Parish; five brothers, David, John and James Race all of Parish, Robert Race of Central Square, and Gerald Race of Cleveland, NY; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 11:00am Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Fairdale Cemetery, Fairdale. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9pm Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
