Martin Misiek, 90, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at his home. He was born in Buffalo and was a graduate of Buffalo University. He received his Masters and PhD degrees at Syracuse University and was an Associate Director of Microbiology at Bristol Labs for 42 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Baldwinsville for over 56 years where he taught Sunday school and was a member of the administration board. He volunteered in various organizations including the Baldwinsville School Board for 18 years and the Volunteer Center Board. He was also a home visitor for his church for several years. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth H. in 2009.

Survivors: two daughters, Joy Misiek-Rudolph of Greenfield, MA and Marte E. Misiek and son-in-law Asher Horowitz of Toronto, Canada; and two grandchildren, Jonah and Sarah Horowitz.

Services: 2:00pm Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 12:00pm to 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
