Martha "Marty" Fox Waring, 90, of Baldwinsville died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Syracuse Home. She was born in Auburn and graduated from Auburn East High where she was very active in all girls sports. Marty was also a Marjorette, loved football, basketball and The Maroons. Later, SU basketball, football, the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles. In 1946 Marty and her husband Gordon moved to Ithaca where she became very active in the community. She was a member of the Forest City Chapter O.E.S., past president of the Ithaca Jayncees, past vice-president of the NYS Jayncees and past president of the Ithaca Junior Guild. Marty was on a committee for "Experiment in International Living" and the Warings were a host family one summer to a girl from Sweden. Marty was a member of the Thompkins County Hospital Aids, the Ithaca Country Club St. Johns Episcopal Church and later Grace Episcopal church in Baldwinsville.

She was predeceased by her husband Gordon of 53 years, her parents Nellie and Arthur Dyson, her very special gramma Lavina "Lil" Alcock and her Goddaughter, Linda LaMay of Auburn.

At Marty's request, there will be no calling hours or memorial service. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Ithaca.
