Marlene L. Sochia, 73, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. She was native of Baldwinsville and a 1954 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy. She retired from CNA Insurance in 1993 after 33 years. She was an active member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville where she was an organist, Jr. & Sr. Choir member and also taught Jr. Choir. Marlene volunteered her time and sewing skills to many marching bands in the Central New York area including Horseheads and Dundee. She was pre-deceased by her brother Jack Sochia in 2007.

Survivors: her daughter, Tina Matejka of Beaver Dams, NY; companion, Norm Wanzer of Baldwinsville; and nephew, Jack Sochia of Central Square.

Services: 10:00am Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Grace Episcopal Church Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
