Mark McGivney passed away on December 31st 2025. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and friendships.

He was a father, brother, uncle, and good friend. He was quite the conversationalist, striking up a conversation with anyone, whether a close friend or a complete stranger; often had them laughing before they even realized they just made a new friend.

Horticulture was his passion and he loved being surrounded by nature. He had a particular fondness for poppy flowers, drawn to their bold color, quiet resilience, and maybe the fact that they didn't talk back. Time outside brought him peace, and humor was never far behind.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcasm and being "subtlety" stubborn. His laughter was easy, his presence comforting, and his jokes, sometimes perfectly timed, sometimes not, always came from a place of love.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Katelyn Kalinowsk and Halina Kalinowski & Paul Sandoval (husband); beloved Christina Kalinowski; brothers, Michael (Hope) McGivney, Matthew (Christine) McGivney and Richard (Brandi) McGivney II; several nieces and nephews.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Richard McGivney and his mother Beverly Bartlett.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home. A service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
