Obituary

Mark G. Lavallee, 66, of Syracuse, passed away on April 14, 2026.

Born December 20, 1959, in Syracuse, Mark devoted his life to both his work and the community he called home. He was the proud owner of Lavallee Paving, continuing a family legacy built alongside his father, and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Mark was a gifted and competitive athlete. He was inducted into the Baldwinsville Wrestling Hall of Fame and, during his time at SUNY Brockport, set a record for the most goals scored in a single lacrosse game. His love of sports remained throughout his life, and he was a devoted supporter of Syracuse University athletics.

He will be remembered for his generous spirit and willingness to help others. Mark believed in second chances and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. He enjoyed traveling, especially long road trips across the country, including a memorable drive to California, and found great enjoyment in attending live music concerts.

He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Harriet Lavallee.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Hughes; his daughters, Michelle Lavallee, Sarah Lavallee (David Musacchio), and Elizabeth Lavallee; his grandchildren, David, Isabella, and Oliver; his stepdaughters, Tonya Sullivan (James) and Erin Hughes; his step-grandchildren, James, Chelsea, Myles, Alyssa, Amoni, Anadia, and Anaya; his siblings, Lynette Lavallee (Walt Schultz), Robert Lavallee (Katherine), and James Lavallee; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
