Marjorie Anne "Marge" Godfrey, 94, of Pennellville, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 22, 1931 in Phoenix, NY, and was the daughter of the late Asa and Olive (Teachout) Candee.

Marge enjoyed sewing, knitting, and was previously a den mother for the cub scouts. She was a former member of the Pennellville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She drove school bus for the Phoenix Central School District for 13 years. Marge enjoyed music and was a very talented organ and accordion player.

Marge was predeceased by her parents, Asa and Olive; brothers, Wilson, Irving, Milton, and Lynn Candee; and sister, Joyce Godfrey.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Bill; children, Doug (Sophia) of Niskayuna, Billy (Gail) Pennellville, Katie (Chuck) Cusano of Galway, and Rusty Godfrey of Oneida; seven grandchildren, Tandra, Will, Andrew, Matt, Allie, Lauren, and Giovanni; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY. Burial will be private in Pennellville Cemetery.
