Marius Ossevoort, 77, passed away at home Tuesday, September 17 with his family by his side. He was born in Leiden, Netherlands where he met and fell in love with the joy of his life, Marijke. Marius was devoted to his family and his faith. He went on several missionary trips and was very supportive of the Jewish Ministry. In his lifetime, Marius was a hard worker and a skilled craftsman. In retirement, Marius took up the hobby of racing homing pigeons and won several races.

Marius is predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Marijke, and brothers, Willem and Jacobus Ossevoort.

Marius is survived by his daughters, Maria (Kenneth) Ratliff and Barbara (Bryant) Tyler; son, Jeroen (Renee) Ossevoort; grandchildren, Gerrit Ossevoort, and Aidan and Carson Tyler; grandpuppies, Thor and Loki; brothers, Daniel, Paul, Gerard, and Benjamin Ossevoort, all of the Netherlands; as well as many nieces and nephews in Syracuse and the Netherlands.

Calling hours are 10:30-12:30 pm Sunday, September 22 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, followed by a 12:30 pm Service. Burial is in Riverview Cemetery.
