Marilyn "Bonnie" Davis Scott, 73 of Baldwinsville passed away quietly at home on Friday, March 19, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. Born in a farm house on the hills overlooking Skaneateles Lake on March 17th, 1931, she was the daughter of Reginald Davis and Edith "Dolly" Templar Davis Stott. Bonnie graduated from Skaneateles High School (class of 1946) at the age of 15 and married a few years later. Being energetic, full of life and with endless creative ideas, Bonnie owned and operated several businesses, including: The Endless Thyme Herbery & Antiques and the Elder Haus – Home for the Elderly. Over the years she volunteered her many artistic talents at the Zoo, Beaver Lake Nature Center, St. James Episcopal Church in Skaneateles and Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville. In fact the large wooden shield Bonnie designed and painted still hangs in the Parish Hall at St. James. Her wide smile and bright blue eyes - always happy to greet her many friends and visitors - Bonnie was loved by all that knew her and will always be remembered for her compassion, love of animals and most of all the love she unselfishly shared with so many.
She is survived by Blair, her husband of 55 years, five sons and one daughter: Joe of Ortanna, PA; Kyle of Auburn; Tom (Pia Helgesson) of Maui, HI; Rob (Lynn Shepard) of Baldwinsville; Clay of Maui, HI and Dr. Jennifer Miceli (James) of Huntington, Long Island; eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, her sister Jean Millier (Bert) of Otisco as well as several nieces and nephews. Her brother Wilfred and her parents pre-deceased her.
Services will be 8:00pm Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Grace Episcopal Church, Baldwinsville. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
Contributions can be made to the SPCA, Make-A-Wish Foundation of CNY, Friends of the Zoo or the Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC).
