Margo Huard, 83, a long-time resident of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday evening, July 5th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous 11-year battle with cancer. Born in Fulton, New York, to the late Eugene and Cecile (Loiselle) Huard Sr., Margo grew up in the area and graduated from Fulton High School in 1961. She went on to build a dedicated career, retiring from Lockheed Martin in Liverpool after more than 40 years of service.
Margo was deeply devoted to her family and will always be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, stubbornness, and sacrifice. She leaves behind her son Joe (Stacey Scalione) Muscolino; and her beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia, who were her absolute greatest joy. She is survived by her sisters Marcia (Russ) Virginia, and Claudette Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. Margo was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene "Sonny" (Jean) Huard, Francis "Tootsie" Huard; sister, Joyce McIntyre; and brother-in-law Patrick Smith. Her extended family will forever cherish the memories of her legendary Christmas Eve and Labor Day parties, which were always filled with food, love, laughter, and gifts for everyone.
An avid photographer, Margo loved documenting her family's lives, capturing special moments and milestones for her son, as well as every dance recital, track meet, soccer match, lacrosse game, graduation, and family celebration for her granddaughters. Through her photos, she left behind volumes of beautiful scrapbooks for her family to enjoy for generations.
Whether feeding a house full of teenagers or entertaining a crowd of children, Margo loved bringing people together. Her son, Joe, and his friends will always remember coming home to spaghetti and meatballs or frozen pizza after their evening shenanigans. She later became the neighborhood babysitter for her granddaughters' friends and the creative force behind the legendary 2011 Cupcake Wars for the Killoe Road gang of kids. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Margo's devotion to her loved ones leaves an undeniable legacy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026 from 9 - 11 am at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton.
