Margaret D. Dahlin, born in Chicago, May 30, 1939 to Henry and Minnie Dean for whom she spoke glowingly throughout her lifetime. She was the oldest of five siblings: Bill, Kathy Hebblethwaite, Marilyn Schrenko and Marianne Ladouceur. Peg married Roger Dahlin in 1958 and was blessed with 13 children: Beth Coyne, Colleen Droege, Craig, Tim, James, Betsy, Amy, Linda Trumble, Meghan, Emily, Jay, Chad and Alex. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren.
Margaret was past president of the Oswego County Foster Parents Association and she and her husband, Roger, cared for 81 foster children over a 28-year period. Peg grew up in Kansas and loved the nuns and her classmates at St. Agnes High in Overland Park. In the fall of 1956, her father was transferred to Syracuse and she graduated from St. Anthony's High in 1957.
Consistent with her lifetime effort to help others, she made an anatomical gift to Upstate Medical University.
