Margaret C. Murphy Alguire, 83, of Syracuse passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Syracuse Home Association. Margaret was a 1943 graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg and worked for several years at Syracuse Home before retiring. She was a housewife for most of her life. Margaret enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Augustine's Church and loved both sewing and knitting as well as spending time with her loving grandchildren and family. Margaret was pre-deceased by her husband of 21 years, Wendell W. Alguire in 1977; a brother, Francis Murphy in 2006 and her sister Mary Ellen Murphy in 1921.

Survivors: 1 daughter; Katherine (Dan) Moynihan of Baldwinsville; 3 sons, Michael Alguire of Syracuse; Danny Alguire of Liverpool and Bryan (Karen) Alguire of Barneveld, one sister, Rita Murphy of Chase Mills; two brothers, Liguori Murphy of Chase Mills and John (Lorraine) Murphy of Buffalo. eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services: 10:30am Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc., and 11:00 am at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
