Obituary

Mae Merrifield Clendenen, 82, of Dundee, FL, died Friday, January 3, 2003 at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL. Mrs. Clendenen was born in Baldwinsville and moved to Dundee, FL in 1981. She retired as a water department billing clerk for the Village of Baldwinsville. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Dundee and was a past member of the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Female Charitable Society of Baldwinsville, a Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star No. 219, Baldwinsville and was a member of Empire Happy Wanderers of New York. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Howard "Deke" Marvin, Jr. who passed away in 1974.

Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Walter "Walt" C. Clendenen of Dundee, FL; two daughters, Cynthia Sterling of Marlton, NJ and Sharon Sterling of Baldwinsville, NY; a step-son, Ronald P. Clendenen of Tampa, FL; a brother, Dr. Homer "Herc" Merrifield of Bend, Oregon; five grandchildren; one great grandchild, Kallisa; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.

Contributions may be made to the Female Charitable Society, Inc., 10 River Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
