IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynne Marie
Koban
June 25, 1964 – August 29, 2025
Lynne Marie Koban, aged 61, of Weedsport, NY, passed away surrounded by love on August 29, 2025. Raised in Endicott, Lynne lived a life full of adventure, dedication, and heart. For 32 years, she had the privilege of teaching high school physical education and coaching students across New York State, shaping not only their skills but also their character. She excelled in athletics from childhood, carrying her love for sports throughout her life as both an avid athlete and a devoted football and basketball fan, proudly holding season tickets for Syracuse University.
Lynne's adventurous spirit took her above the Arctic Circle three times, on polar expeditions where she swam with beluga whales and hiked Alaskan glaciers. At home, she poured the same passion into being a devoted animal lover and dog mom.
She is survived by her beloved partner of 30 years, Meredith A. Stone, whom she cherished and adored; her twin brother, Bob Koban (Lisa); brother, Ed Koban; nieces and nephews Devon, Nicholas, Daniel, Reese, Bobby, Tom, Auden, and Elliot; and her many loving cousins. All will forever remember her boundless energy, competitive spirit, and unwavering light. She is predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary Ann Koban.
Lynne tried always to be a bright light to those around her—and she was. Her legacy lives on in the countless students, athletes, friends, and loved ones whose lives she touched.
