Louise Enid Brown, 94 of Sun City died September 25, 2010 at the Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville, New York. Born in Gloversville, New York on July 8, 1916, Mrs. Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New York at Albany, New York. She taught English and French at the High Schools in Highland, New York and Fort Edward, New York.

She married F. Donald Bollman in 1940 with whom she had two daughters. Her first husband preceded her in death in September, 1954.

In 1966 she married Frederick Brown. They moved to Sun City, Arizona from Hudson Falls, New York in 1971 and joined Fountain of Life Lutheran Church. Mr. Brown preceded her in death in May, 1977.

She was a member of the Clay Club for several years and bowled and golfed with her husband.

Louise transferred her membership to Crown of Life Lutheran in Sun City West in 1987, where she sang in the choir for several years. Also she read for the tape for the blind program, in which the church participated with the Missouri Synod through St. Louis.

She was a volunteer reader for the Sun City Unit of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic for over thirty years beginning in 1975. During that time, Louise accumulated over 7,000 hours, for which she was recognized and honored. She served several years on the organization's Board of Directors.

Louise also served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Sunshine Service Inc. and two terms on the Board of the Dysart Community Center. At the Center she taught knitting classes to children as well as having taught English as a second language in the Lauback Program for eleven years.

She traveled extensively from 1979 through 1997, having visited 68 countries. This included meeting and spending several days with her pen pal of 55 years in France whom she had not previously met.

Louise was an inspiration and an example for her family and friends. Throughout her life she was active and independent. She was a strong proud woman who didn't compromise her morals or her values, and was never hesitant to give advice or her opinion. Her infectious smile and warm heart touched everyone.

She is survived by two daughters: Enid Cardinal of Baldwinsville, NY; Carol Munsterman of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 26, 2010, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liverpool, NY with her cremains being interred in Albany, NY.
