Obituary

Lloyd E. Schulz, 95, of Meigs Road, Baldwinsville, died Jan. 10 at the Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville. Born in Baldwinsville, he lived in Newburgh, Oneida and Syracuse before moving back to Baldwinsville. He graduated from Baldwinsville Academy and Syracuse University and received a master's degree from Columbia University. He was director of art for the Newburgh school district and an art teacher in the Oneida school district and at Henninger High School. He was a life member of the Art Students League of New York, member of the American Water Color Society, the American Orchid Society and the Eastern Art Association, and charter member of the New York State Art Teachers Association. In 1950, he received an award from the Allied Architects of America. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Two nephews, Carl W. VanDenburg of Pennellville and Paul M. VanDenburg of Baltimore; three nieces, Faye C. Stray of Syracuse, Diane Rice of Baldwinsville and Sally Crossman of Parish.

Services and calling hours: None. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements.
