Lloyd (Smokin Joe) Ellis, 81 of Memphis, NY did his final "burn out" on September 10th, 2025. Born in Syracuse, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Susan (Sokolowsky) Ellis, daughter Lisa, Dudley the dog and Lucy the kitty. Joe is also survived by a brother Kenneth (Jill), sisters Kathleen, Irene (John), Debby, Cynthia, Sarah, Jill, several nieces and nephews and a sister in law Jane (David). Last but certainly not least, Joe is survived by his many beloved friends.

Since he could walk, his passion has been cars, whether under the hood or behind the wheel. In his early years, his hobby was racing. Later on it was cruising with "the gang" to the many area car shows. He earned the moniker " Smokin Joe" when he won the burn out competition at the Syracuse Nationals. His life's work was auto repair and for a time he was the owner of B'ville Auto Repair. He was well known for his sense of humor and kind heart.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 PM, Monday, September 15, 2025 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16th at Kingdom Road Cemetery at the corner of Kingdom and Conners Roads in Baldwinsville.
