Linda Lucille Hagadorn Jochum passed away on August 25th, 2022, just shy of her 80th birthday in Syracuse, NY after a valiant struggle to recover from heart disease surgery.
Linda was born in Syracuse on August 31, 1942, to the Late Horace Hagadorn and Irma Morton Hagadorn Elliot. She was a Nottingham high school alumnus. Linda worked a few years at Flah's department store in downtown Syracuse before raising her two children. In later years she was employed at Steppingstone Daycare, Radisson nursery school, the Bascol afterschool program and was a nature teacher for the Lysander recreation program. Linda loved the outdoors and while her girls were young, she volunteered as a Camp Fire troop leader, and an art director at Camp Talooli in Pennellville. Linda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fulton, NY. She was also an avid Elvis fan who made lifelong friends with her over 40-year membership in a local fan club, traveling to Graceland often and holding charitable fundraisers. She was so supportive of her daughters in all their youth activities, travels and pursuing their dreams into adulthood.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Stephanie L. (Mark) Jochum-Natt in Kenya; Rebecka J. (Jason) Jochum Miller; grandchildren, Dakston L. Miller, Hudson E. Miller, and Emerson E. Miller of Baldwinsville, sister Sondra J. Hagadorn Lynch of Syracuse and Maryland, brother William Elliot III of Syracuse, nephew Michael (Sandra Oxtera) Lynch of Florida, cousin Audrey Farwell and her family in Syracuse and relatives in Germany.
She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather William Elliot Jr., husband Ludwig Jochum, brother Albert Wands Hagadorn, brothers-in-law Thomas B. Lynch of Maryland, and Fritz Jochum of Germany.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday August 30th, 2022, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street Baldwinsville, NY. Funeral service will be held at the Fulton Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 837 State Route 48 Fulton NY at 10:00 AM, August 31, 2022. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
