Linda D. Cole, 81, passed away Friday, May 15 at University Hospital. She was born in Ogdensburg, NY to Charles and Thelma Clark Downey. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and was a member of the band, playing the clarinet. Linda resided in the North Country until moving to the Syracuse area 20 years ago. She was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Baldwinsville and enjoyed bowling and gardening.
Linda is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Peter C. Cole and brother, Rodney Downey.
Linda is survived by five children, Peter "Mike" Cole and wife Melanie of Ogdensburg, Russ Cole and his wife Von of Baldwinsville, Randy Cole and his wife Ann of Webster, Warren Cole and his wife Stephanie of Belleville, IL and Kelly Rockwell and her husband Kevin of Elmira. Linda leaves eleven grandchildren, Casey, Alex, Peter, Chelsey, Sean, Elizabeth, Brody, Kayla, Zach, Kyle, Chad, four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Evelyn, Samuel, and Cooper, and siblings Kent Downey and Joella Freeman, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
