Laurence A. Peterson, Jr., 88, passed away at home Monday. He was born in VanBuren to Laurence and Mary Luke Peterson and has lived in the area his entire life. Laurence worked for Allied Chemical for 28 years and retired as a farmer at the age of 72. His passion was Tractor Pulling and competed until last year, winning many awards.
Laurence is predeceased by his son Michael, and brothers, Robert, Alonzo, and Raymond Peterson.
Laurence is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Shrubb Peterson; children, David (Marcia) Peterson and Laurie (Craig) Loucks; grandson, Nicholas Baker; and siblings, James (Karen) Peterson and Elsie Peterson.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
