Laura (Naylor) Kurtz passed away April 15, 2026 at the age of 97. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend for life, Bernard. They met as teenagers and enjoyed 77 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, family and friends.

Laura is also survived by their three children - Susan (Terry), Douglas (Maedith), and Patricia; five grandchildren - Douglass (Stacy), Jaimie, Jayson, Tim (Aniela), and Jesslyn (Tyler); and seven great-grandchildren - Marshall, Maddie, George, Maxwell, Norah, Alessandra, and Anastasia.

Over their years together Laura and Bernard lived in Syracuse, NY, Owensboro KY, Marcellus, NY, and Crystal River, FL, before finally settling in Baldwinsville, NY.

After each move she placed a magnet on her refrigerator that read: "Bloom Where You Are Planted", which characterized her determination to adapt to whatever circumstances she encountered.

She lived up to that belief by always planting the most beautiful gardens, setting out her hummingbird feeders, knitting annual slippers for everyone in the family, baking delicious cookies (and her specialty - applesauce cakes), and cultivating new friends wherever she lived. If you were a friend, you were her friend for life.

Laura will be remembered in our hearts for her constant love and thoughtfulness, and the many ways she enriched all our lives.

Visitation will be held at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, NY on Sunday May 3, 2026 from 1to 3.pm.
