Kenneth L. "Doc" Weir, 84, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at University Hospital. He was born in Middlefield and was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific. He was twice Commander of the Baldwinsville VFW Post #153 and belonged to the Baldwinsville American Legion #113. Doc belonged to the Syracuse Carpenter's Union #747 for over 30 years and was an avid horseshoe player, pool shooter, hunter and fisherman. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Joan Young Weir in 1996.

Survivors: his daughter, Patricia Weir Haefner of Olympia, WA; three sons, Gary Weir of Hornell, James Weir of Cato and Dannie Weir of Baldwinsville; a sister, Doris Larson of Cooperstown; two brothers, Keith Douglas Weir of N. Syracuse and Carl Weir of Brandenston, FL; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Pat Kotas of Baldwinsville.

Services: 10:00am Friday, July 16, 2010 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
