Kenneth Krafft, Sr., 90, passed away at home on Monday, surrounded by his family. He was born in Baldwinsville to Karl and Vera Krafft. Ken served in the US Army Artillery during the Korean War. He was very proud that he was selected for the Honor Flight to see the memorials in Washington, D.C. Ken was a long time employee for Western Electric working in a number of positions. He officiated High School and College Football and Basketball and was a member and president of the IAABO Board 38. He was an avid golfer and would golf with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Ken loved and participated in B'ville high school sports. He thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandchildren play any sport and would never miss a game. Ken always said there are two kinds of people, those that live in Baldwinsville and those that wish they did.

Ken was instrumental in starting the Pop Warner football program in Baldwinsville. In 2019, he was honored by the Baldwinsville Basketball program for 24 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 for 40 years.

Ken was "the mayor". He had the gift of gab, cherished relationships and made every person he knew feel special. He had a friend everywhere he would go- near and far. To know him was to love him! He will be dearly missed by all.

Ken was predeceased by his parents and the love of his life, his wife, Phyllis on June 14, 1991. He never stopped grieving her. Family was everything to him. A good day would be in the company of his kids or grandchildren. One of his final goals, was to attend the high school graduation of all 15 grandchildren- which he accomplished in 2018.

Ken is survived by five daughters, Kathleen (James) Rose of Victory,NY; Kimberly (John) Blessing of Eldersburg, MD; Karrie (Mike) Mabry of Winston-Salem, NC; Karla (Bill) Long of Baldwinsville, NY and Kristin (Brian) Ellithorpe of Cazenovia, NY; a son Kenneth (Jennifer)Jr of Liverpool, NY; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are 4-7 pm Thursday, January 7 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. Due to COVID, the service the following day will be private. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery.
