Kathy Haskins, 75, of Baldwinsville, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at home Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Kathy, known for her green thumb, would often be found caring for her extraordinary fruit, vegetable and flower gardens in the summer and inside to tend to her many houseplants and seedlings when the snow came.

Her passions were plenty, including painting, ceramic and floral arts, baking-earning her many awards in the Syracuse area, and watching her family grow in size and spirit. These are few among the many skills that she has passed down to her family. Those close to her will remember a caring hand and a biting sense of humor.

Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Roger Sr. and three siblings.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Rick) Herbs, Kim Mertens, and Roger (Julie) Haskins; siblings, Bill (JoAnn) Turner, Barb (Rick) Hudson, and Pat (Jack) Fitten; seven grandchildren, Kati, Sheri, and Ricky Herbs, Raymond and Brittany Mertens, Roger III and Justin Haskins; and six great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kathy's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 9 at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
