Kathleen "Kay" C. Sweeney, 87, of Syracuse passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at home. She was born in Massena and has lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. Kay was a loving homemaker and her family meant everything to her. She also enjoyed babysitting neighboring children because she loved children so much, especially the babies. Kay was a longtime member of St. Matthew's Church in East Syracuse and most recently, St. Augustine's in Baldwinsville.

Survivors: her sons, Timothy B. (Kathy) of Syracuse and Joseph J. (Arleen) of Birmingham, AL; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Gerald Sweeney; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:00am Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 9:30am at St. Augustines Church, Baldwinsville, Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa. Calling hours are 4-8pm Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
