Karen Ann Connelly, born on November 21, 1956, in Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 69 after a long courageous battle with health issues.

A beloved resident of Baldwinsville, she is a graduate of C.W. Baker High School. Karen dedicated her life to her family, friends, and her work as a bus driver for the Jordan Elbridge School District. Her commitment and passion to her job was seen by the children and staff.

Driven by her passion for supporting others, she was a strong advocate for individuals with special needs, making a lasting impact on the lives of many. In her free time, Karen's creative spirit shone through in her hobbies, which included scrapbooking, card making, crafting, crocheting, and knitting. She had a knack for crafting and enjoyed visiting local craft shows with her daughter. Karen also had a fond affinity for all of her pugs. She found joy in her pug's antics and delighted in sharing her home and companionship with them.

Along with her own hobbies and passions, she loved helping and caring for others. She had the uncanny ability to make people feel loved and special. She could walk into a crowd of strangers and carry on conversations like she's known them for years. She also enjoyed camping with her beloved husband, daughter and grandchildren every year at Kayuta Lake.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, David Connelly; her son, Shane Connelly; her daughter, Melissa Guild (Jason); her cherished grandchildren, Abriana and Makenna; and her brothers Mark Talty (Brenda) and Steve Talty (Karen). Her family and friends will remember her warmth, creativity, and unwavering support through both joyful and challenging times. Karen was predeceased by her parents Wayne and Barbara Talty.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, NY. Private burial will be at Kingdom Road Cemetery in Memphis, NY.
