Judy M. Styers, 88, of Baldwinsville, passed away October 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 31, 1938 in Syracuse, Judy grew up in Baldwinsville and graduated from Baldwinsville High School. Her lifelong love of animals began with the horses she grew up with and continued through the many pets she welcomed into her home.

Judy drove a school bus for the Baldwinsville School District for more than 30 years. She cared deeply about her students and treasured their cards and notes, keeping mementos from her bus routes for decades. Following her retirement, she worked at Matthews for another 10 years.

A devoted member of the Plainville Fire Department, Judy earned numerous certificates and awards and enjoyed continuing her training. She considered her fellow firefighters family. She also enjoyed reading and learning about medical topics.

Judy loved Christmas and Easter and celebrating with those closest to her. Known for her warm smile, ready laugh, and adventurous nature, she was happiest spending time with her family. Her children and granddaughter were always her priority.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Laug; daughter, Stephanie Laug; granddaughter, Grace Laug, brother Earl Styers and many neices and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Monday, October 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, with a service immediately following at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Plainville Fire Department.
