A great loss was suffered Monday morning, February 15, when Judy O'Neil, 77, of Syracuse, passed peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a rock for her family, known for her strength, faith, determination, and endless support for those around her. Judy spent the majority of her working career as a bookkeeper/accountant for various businesses in Syracuse. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, wintering in Florida, shopping, and lunches with her many friends. She was a member of the St. Augustine's Church.
Judy is predeceased by her parents, Huldah and Henry Cunningham, her sister, Constance Donati (August), and sister-in-law, Joan Cunningham. Judy is survived by her husband, Ray O'Neil, brother, Colin Cunningham, daughter, Cheryl Cole (Kim Ashlaw), son, Steve Cole (Suzanne), stepdaughters, Jacqueline O'Neil-Decker (Robert), and Maryellen Ashe (Christopher), grandchildren, Jordan and Conner Cole, and step-grandchildren Matthew and Robert Decker, Brittney Maloid, Sean Moseuk, April and Christopher Ashe, and several nieces, nephews, and step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on February 27th at St. Augustine's Church in Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be from 10-11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. The Mass will be live-streamed. A Mass and burial will take place in late spring in Judy's hometown of Bombay, NY.
