Judith A. Bender DeSiro, 71, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at Francis House after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Sharon, PA and has lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She was a 1956 graduate of West Genesee High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree at Oswego State and her Master's Degree at Syracuse University. She was a Reading Teacher for the West Genesee School District and retired after 36 years. She was very active in several local and community organizations. Judy loved sewing, quilting and gardening, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors: her husband of 41 years, Victor D.; her daughter Lisa A. DeSiro of Cambridge, MA; her son David V. of Sidney, NY; two sisters, Susan (Rick) Erway Roberts and Jean (Jan) Steele, both of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. There will be no calling hours.
