Joyce Lewis Cook, 88 , of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was born in Syracuse to Helen and George Lewis. Joyce was a 1947 graduate of Nottingham High School and worked in banking for 30 plus years. She retired as a bank manager in Cazenovia to relocate to Hendersonville, NC with her husband Bud. She and her husband moved back to the Syracuse area in 2004.
Joyce was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Cook, brothers George Lewis and David Lewis.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, William "Bud" Cook ; brother Edward (Wendy) of North Syracuse; her sister, Pam Penfield (Gary) of Denver, CO; her son, Steven Cook (Bobbie) of Banner Elk, NC; her daughter, Marilyn Cook Hirt (Glenn) of Baldwinsville; 6 grandchildren, James, William, Andrew, Mary, Scott and Paul; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 5-7pm Monday , September 18, 2017, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Oakwood-Morningside Cemetery.
