Joseph "Chuck" Edward Gray III passed away May 23rd at the age of 51 in his home surrounded by loved ones after a 4 year battle with Metastatic Melanoma Cancer. Chuck was born in Syracuse, NY to Joseph Edward Gray Jr. and Linda Elliott Gray. He graduated from Liverpool Senior High School and was an avid athlete who lettered in Indoor Track, Cross Country and Football. Chuck was a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle among other titles. He had a heart of gold, which he spread everywhere he went; anyone who knew Chucky loved him for his kind spirit. Even throughout his physical deterioration, he always put others above himself. Chuck proudly served in the US Army Reserves and was a Professional Driver at Wadhams Enterprises Inc. Chuck resided in Auburn in his final years.
Chuck is predeceased by the love of his life Betti Jo Wells Gray and Joseph Edward Gray, Jr. He is survived by his son Joseph Edward Gray IV, mother Linda (Robert La Point) Dewey, siblings: Sue Ellen (William) Bulger, Scott Elliott (Sarah) Gray, LyndaAnne (Kevin) Wallis, and nieces and nephews: Ryan, Jessica, Caleb, Megan, Sheila, Parker, Xander, and Erin.
A private ceremony for immediate family will be held on Thursday May 28th. A Military Burial and A Celebration of Life will be held at a to-be determined later date.
