Joseph J. Dixie, 77, of Fairway Drive, Van Buren, died Monday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Born in Syracuse, he lived in the Syracuse area most of his life. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 153 in Baldwinsville and American Legion Post 789 in Cicero. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: His wife of 54 years, the former Marion E. Faustman; a daughter, Deborah C. Grella of Solvay; two sons, Joseph C. of Cicero and Gary J. of Camillus; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Falardeau Funeral Home. Burial, Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours, noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
