Obituary

John Claude Smith, 64, of Baldwinsville died Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at Francis House. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Baldwinsville 38 years. He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School and attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich. He retired in 2001 as an information technology specialist at Penn Traffic in Syracuse after 12 years. He had also been an electrician and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43. He was a partner with McMahon-Smith Real Estate in Baldwinsville. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville.

Survivors: His wife of 43 years, the former Jean A. Cambareri; two daughters, Susan Crossett of Fayetteville and Nancy Zarnowski of Baldwinsville; a son, Paul B. II of Rochester; a sister, Dr. Ann Crowder of Roswell, N.M.; a brother, James P. of Eastwood; two grandchildren.

Services: 9 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2002, at Falardeau Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2002, at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
