John J. Roberts, Sr., 86, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Sunnyside Nursing Home. He was born in Belding, MI and lived in Baldwinsville for many years. John was a retired Crane Operator at Crucible Steel Corp. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was a member of American Legion Post #113 and LOOM Lodge #649. John was predeceased by his 1st wife, Madeline in 1981 and his 2nd wife, Dorothy in 2002.

Survivors: two daughters, Betty Bourque of Baldwinsville, and Mary Roberts of Verona; four sons, John J. Jr. of Baldwinsville, Charles R. and George F. both of St. Petersburg, FL and Melvin L. of New York City; six stepdaughters, Sheila C. Reynolds of Mattydale, Wanda J. McGrath of Bernards Bay, Holly L. Saya of Syracuse, Robin R. Thompson of Liverpool,Kristi L. LaRose of Central Square and Amber D. Farmer of Pulaski; four stepsons, Joseph C. Hemingway, Jr. of Syracuse, John R. Hemingway of Pinehurst, NC, Barry R. Hemingway of Liverpool and Brian D. Hemingway of Maryland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30am Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
