John James Pfeiffer IV "Jay", 57, originally from Baldwinsville NY but living in Tyler, TX, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Baldwinsville; he graduated with honors from OCC and studied at SUNY Oswego. Jay was an avid NY Yankees fan and a huge music connoisseur. He was predeceased by his father, John J. Pfeiffer in 1994 and his mother, Nora "Jeep" Pfeiffer in 2007.

He leaves behind his wife Lucinda Pfeiffer of Tyler, TX, his stepdaughter Marissa Millard (grandson Mayson) and his stepdaughter Vicki; his sister Laury A. (Don) Nolan of Conquest, NY and three brothers, Robert A. of N. Syracuse, NY, Richard C. (Janeen) of Baldwinsville, NY and James D. (Nathalie) of Cicero, NY; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, May 31, 2012 at First Christian Assembly, 705 Hamilton Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. Calling hours are 4 to 7pm Thursday, prior to the service.
