Obituary

John E. Loos, 81, of Liverpool passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at University Hospital. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and served in the US Army during the Korean War. John retired from Niagara Mohawk as area manager after 44 years of service. A devoted member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Baldwinsville, he was a deacon for 21 years and served as a councilman and on numerous committees including the building of the new Sanctuary. He was a member of the Town of Lysander Planing Board, a member of the Village of Baldwinsville Zoning Board of appeals and a vice president and member of the executive board of the St. Lawrence Council of the Boy Scouts.

John was predeceased by his son Bradley C. Loos.

Survivors: his wife of 60 years Wilda Farnsworth Loos; two daughters, Jacqueline (Adrian) Christian of Cicero and Janet Kelly of Plymouth, MA; a sister, Jane (Donald)Peltier of Queensbury, MA; eight grand children; a nephew and several nieces.

Services: 10:00 am Friday, December 20, 2013, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 2840 Cold Springs Rd., Baldwinsville. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 5-7pm Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
