John U. Lawson, Jr., 59, of Baldwinsville died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at his home. He was born in Summerville. Georgia and was raised in Baldwinsville. As a graduate of Baker High School, he was employed by United Parcel Service for more than 30 years. He was an avid ATV racing fan and pursued racing events all over the country. He took pride in sponsoring many up-and-coming young racers who became successful career racers. He will be fondly remembered by all of his friends at the track.

Survivors: his sons, Randy and Rodney; brothers, David and Steve, and his sister, Nancy.

Services: 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 12:00pm - 2:00pm Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
