John R. "Jack" Long Sr., 76, of Baldwinsville , passed away peacefully Thursday, August 10.  Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Marcellus High School and CCBI.  He had a career in sales for many years.

Jack was an Air Force veteran and past Commander of the Vernice Suttle American Leigon Post #113 in Baldwinsville.  He enjoyed playing golf, was an avid western history buff, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Kasey.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly; son, John Long Jr.; daughters, Annette Long and Kristy Myers; stepchildren, Ryan Perfetti and Stephanie MacCaull; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda, Marty, Rosemary, and Ted.

Per Jack's request there will be no calling hours.  Services will be private for family only at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
