John (Jack) W. Honan Sr., age 88, of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1937, in Newark, NJ, to the late Martin and Lillian Honan. Jack spent his entire career working for Crucible Steel of Syracuse.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his son Michael Honan in 2013.

Jack was passionate about sports, proudly supporting his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Syracuse Orange. He cherished spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories. After retirement from Crucible, Jack was co-owner of Caughdenoy Creek Country Club where he enjoyed interacting with patrons.

Jack is survived by his son, John Honan Jr. (Lori), and daughters, Karen Falardeau (Jeff), and Kathleen Pettit (John), who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Jack is also survived by his loving 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, who he was so very proud of. Jack is also survived by his sister Elaine Tuite. He will be missed by all who knew him. Following his wishes, there will be no services.
