Obituary

John Albert Goloski died peacefully Wednesday, February 6, 2008 after a short, sudden illness. He was most recently a resident of Wynwood in Manlius, but spent most of his life in the house he built on Cold Springs Road in Baldwinsville. John was born to Elizabeth Kuss Goloski and John Peter Goloski, all of Syracuse, on May 31, 1921. He attended Assumption Academy, and graduated from a local trade school. John appreciated woodworking and music and took great pride in the musical talents of his family. After serving in the Army Air Force during World War II he returned to marry Libby Bogensperger and start a family in Baldwinsville. He was an employee of General Electric.

Surviving: three daughters, Kathy (Ron) Cooke, Rita Bills (widow of Jack Bills) Marcia (Bill) Zinger; his brother Greg (Ione) Goloski; grandsons, Chad and Adam Phillips and Benjamin Bills; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Services: 11:00am Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4:00-8:00pm Monday, February 11, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
