John A. Frear, 67, of Baldwinsville, New York, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Baldwinsville, John attended C.W. Baker High School, graduating with the Class of

1976. He dedicated his professional life to craftsmanship, working as a skilled Union Carpenter, builder, and landscaper.

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, John had a deep love for nature. He spent many months of the year at his beloved family camp in Redfield, New York, affectionately known as "The Land." It was there that he was happiest, hosting generations of friends, family, and children. John was also a passionate, lifelong fan of Syracuse Orange sports, with a particular enthusiasm for Boeheim's Army.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Barbara Frear of Liverpool, New York, and his brother, William Frear of Scotia, New York.

John is survived by his three loving children: Jennifer (James) Sofia of Baldwinsville, Samantha Frear of Baldwinsville, and Timothy (Rachel) Frear of Hudson Falls. He also leaves behind five grandchildren whom he loved and adored: Zoe, Molly, Levi, Leo, and Lana.

A calling hour will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with a funeral service immediately following at 5 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
