John was born in Ansonia, CT on March 19, 1922. He died on July 13, 2018.

John was predeceased by his parents John and Mary, his wife of 68 happy years Olga Skotetsky Dobbins, his son Michael Dobbins, and great granddaughter Colleen Dobbins.

John retired from Suburban Propane after 38 years. He volunteered for the Navy and did two tours overseas, minesweeping in South America and the amphibious force on an LSM in the Pacific.

Everyone who knew Jack experienced his humor, energy, amazing memory, his warmth and his thoughtfulness. Friends near and far have fond memories to comfort them.

He is survived by sons Thomas (Mary Ann), Peter (Margaret), Matthew (Meg Anne), Nancy (Northrop) Dobbins and grandchildren John, David, Catherine (Gramiak), Stephen, Shannon, Michael Dobbins. Also seven great grandchildren, Eliza and Ethan Gramiak, Jack, Nora, Maura, Claire, and Henley Dobbins.

Calling hours are 11:30am – 1:30pm with a service to follow Friday, July 20, 2018, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY.
