John H. Christian, 62, of Baldwinsville, passed away on September 12, 2026. Born August 21, 1964, in Syracuse. John was a proud graduate of the final graduating class of Cicero High School in 1982.

John continued his education at SUNY Geneseo, earning an undergraduate degree in education followed by a master's degree in mathematics. He devoted more than 30 years to education, including 27 years teaching high school mathematics at West Genesee Central School District before retiring in 2019. Throughout his career, John's dedication to teaching made a lasting impact on generations of students.

In the early years of his teaching career, John also shared his love of sports through coaching volleyball and baseball. An avid sports fan throughout his life, he enjoyed participating in recreational sports and closely followed his favorite teams, especially the Seahawks, the RedSox, and Syracuse University athletics.

John was predeceased by his father, Charles Christian. He is survived by his mother, Carol Christian; brother, Thomas Christian (Santina); sister, Amy Christian (Greg McCrea); and stepdaughter, Madison MacLaury.

John's family wishes to extend their gratitude for the care provided to John at Crouse Hospital in his final days.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. Burial will be private in Pine Plains Cemetery.
