John E. Bubb, 81, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2024.  He was born on November 30, 1942.  He married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn, and they were partners in life and marriage for 62 years.  He was very proud of his two daughters, Laurie and Michele, and his granddaughter, Amanda.  He always looked forward to spending time with his family, especially the holidays.

He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Laurie Scofield, in 2013.

He was a long-time employee of UPS and retired from UPS after 32 years.  After retirement, he drove a school bus for West Genesee School District for 17 years.  He was proud to drive for West Genesee and made many friends there.  He prided himself on being a dependable and conscientious employee wherever he worked.

He was Chief of the Seneca River Fire Department for 2 years and a member of the department for over 20 years.

His passion was running and fitness, working out virtually every day for over 30 years.  He ran many races over the years and frequently finished those races first in his age group.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bubb; his daughter, Michele Ciamarro (Bill) of Central Square; his grand daughter, Amanda Farrar (Joshua) and his great grandson, Carter James Farrar and soon to be born great grandson, Finn Wilder Farrar; his brother, Jerry Bubb, of Jacksonville, FL and his sister, Debbie Eisaman of Rochester, NY

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.  at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.  Burial will be private Friday, July 12, in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.

The family would like to thank his caregivers throughout the last few years who cared for him with compassion, love, respect, and grace.  They are Pam Sisson, Angie Hibbard, Christine Raymond, Chantel Denny, Gabrielle Krafft and Kara Ross.
