Joe Ward, 56, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away Sunday February 5, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Edward J. Ward on February 28, 1966 in Gouverneur, NY. Joe graduated from Baldwinsville Schools in 1984 and began his early career as a radio personality known as "Banana Joe" on the popular country music station WSEN. Joe's entrepreneurial spirit led him to begin his own trucking company in the late eighty's and continued until he was asked to join the family owned construction company Ward Steel Company, Inc. He was instrumental in the growth of the family business and led the company as a field superintendent for decades. Joe had a passion for music of all different genres and also classic cars. He loved spending time with family and was quickly declared the favorite uncle by his many nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his father John Ward in 2011. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Ward of Baldwinsville, brothers John (Monique) Ward of Baldwinsville, Terry (Sue) Ward of North Rose NY, Derek (Jillian Trionfero) Ward of Sandy Hook VA, and Chris Ward of Baldwinsville, many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in months to come; all funeral services will be private.
