Joan R. Needham Petrella, 68, of Baldwinsville passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Newark, NJ. Joan was pre-deceased by a grandson, John, Jr., a sister Doris, and two brothers, John and Paul. A great homemaker, she lived for her children and grandchildren.

Survivors: her husband of 50 years, John Petrella; three daughters, Danielle (Kevin) Donhauser of Baldwinsville, Bernadette (Randy) Sabo of Baldwinsville and Michele (deceased Steven) Tompkins of Old Bridge, NJ; a son, John (Shirley Ann) Petrella of Perrineville, NJ; two sisters, Mary Knapp of Florida and Nancy Kohler of New Jersey; three brothers, Chester Braun of Skaneateles, William Needham of Livingston, NJ and Herby Needham of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Paul, Ryan, Corinne, Brittany, Heather, Evan, and Samantha.

Services: 7:00pm Monday, May 5, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 4-7pm Monday prior to the services.
